Screen Stream Is Black or Frozen After Remote Desktop Disconnects

Use this article if the DeskCamera screen stream turns black, freezes, or disappears after you close a Remote Desktop session.

Recommended way to disconnect

When you are connected with Remote Desktop, use the Safely close RDP button in DeskCamera before disconnecting.

Do not close the Remote Desktop window with the standard close button if you need the screen stream to keep working.

If the stream is already black or frozen

1) Reconnect to the PC with Remote Desktop.

2) Open DeskCamera.

3) Start the camera again if needed.

4) When you are ready to disconnect, use Safely close RDP.
