Use this article to add DeskCamera to Pelco VideoXpert (the recording system). VideoXpert can add DeskCamera by ONVIF or by RTSP.
Before you start, in DeskCamera
Check that Camera Settings shows Started Cameras (1) or more. If it shows Offline, click Start.
Write down the Camera Address (the IP address and port) and the ONVIF User and password. Click the eye button to see the password.
To add one stream by its RTSP URL, copy the URL in Camera details. See Copy the Direct RTSP URL of a Stream.
Video 1: connect by ONVIF
For the best performance with ONVIF
Use the streams with the HW tag. HW: the graphics card compresses the video. This uses less processor power. The tag is next to the source under Video Sources.
Turn off Manage by NVR for every source. See Adjust Video Quality Settings (Resolution, FPS, and Bitrate).

Copy the address of each stream in Camera details (see "Before you start").
