Frequently Asked Question

Use this article to add DeskCamera to IPConfigure Orchid Core VMS (the recording system). Orchid Core VMS can add DeskCamera in two ways. With ONVIF, the VMS finds and controls DeskCamera as a camera. With RTSP, you add each stream by its own address.

Before you start, in DeskCamera

1. Check that Camera Settings shows Started Cameras (1) or more. If it shows Offline, click Start.

   

2. Write down the Camera Address (the IP address and port) and the ONVIF User and password. Click the eye button to see the password.

   

3. To add one stream by its RTSP URL, copy the URL in Camera details. See Copy the Direct RTSP URL of a Stream.

Copy the address of each stream in Camera details (see "Before you start").

If it does not work

• NVR/VMS Cannot Find DeskCamera or Show Live Video
• NVR/VMS Asks for a User Name or Password
• NVR/VMS Shows Only One Screen or Channel
