Use this article to approve screens and webcams before the camera streams them.

What it does

While Require Media Approval is turned on, every screen and webcam that DeskCamera finds stays off until you approve it. This includes the ones you already use. Sources that you add with + Add Media Source are approved when you create them. A source that is not approved has a line through its name and does not stream.

Important: When you turn it on, your screens and webcams stop streaming until you approve each one.

Turn it on

1. Click Stop.

2. Click OPTIONS > General.

3. Under MEDIA, turn on Require Media Approval.

   

4. Click << BACK, then click Start.

Approve a source

1. Click Stop.

2. Open Video & Audio Settings.

3. Select the source.

4. Click Approve.

   

5. Click Start.

UnApprove takes the source off the camera again.

Good to know

• In a Remote Desktop session, RDPDisplay is approved with the main local screen. RDPDisplay2 and later remote screens need their own approval.
