Use this article if a Hikvision NVR shows a Live View error for DeskCamera, while recording may still work.
This issue is commonly seen on some Hikvision NVR firmware versions 4.4 and 4.5.
Before changing settings
If the setting below is not available, update DeskCamera first.
Change the Hikvision live-view compatibility setting
1) Open DeskCamera on the PC.
2) Stop the camera.
3) Open Options.
4) Open Video.
5) Set SPS/PPS NAL aggregate to HikvisionZeroLatency.
6) Go back and start the camera again.
7) In the Hikvision NVR, remove the DeskCamera live-view entry and add it again if the NVR does not refresh automatically.
If it still does not work
- Confirm the NVR is using the current DeskCamera address.
- Confirm the camera login is correct.
- Restart the camera and try adding it again in the NVR.
