PC doesn't accept License Server SSL certificate error
Last Updated 4 years ago
Some Workstations with missed windows updates may have the following error during a license activation process:
That error is caused by missed CA ssl certificate. Browsing to https://www.deskcamera.com/ website and many other websites that use comodo/sectigo ssl certificate (https://sectigo.com/) would also display the certificate error
To resolve that issue user should either:
- Install the latest Windows Updates
- Or manually install Sectigo CA certificate
In case of manual installations, the certificates should be downloaded directly from sectigo website https://support.sectigo.com/articles/Knowledge/Sectigo-Intermediate-Certificates
User should download and install these 2 certificates:
1) SHA-2 Root : USERTrust RSA Certification Authority
2) Sectigo RSA Domain Validation Secure Server CA [ Intermediate ]
"SHA-2 Root : USERTrust RSA Certification Authority" should be installed to "Trusted Root Certification Authorities"
Sectigo RSA Domain Validation Secure Server CA [ Intermediate ] should be installed to "Intermediate Certification Authorities"
