Add an overlay

  1. Click Stop.

  2. Open Video & Audio Settings and select the source, for example a screen.

  3. Set Video overlay to Enable.

  4. Click the settings button next to Video overlay.

  5. In Configure Overlay, set each overlay that you want to Enable:

    • Cursor overlay: the mouse pointer.
    • Timestamp overlay: the date and time.
    • User text overlay: your own text.
  6. If you set User text overlay to Enable, type your text in the box under it. You can type up to 45 characters.

  7. In Overlay color, choose a color.

  8. Click Close.

  9. Click Start.

  10. Check the video in your NVR/VMS.

Good to know

  • Each source has its own overlay settings.
  • Overlays use more processor power. Turn on only the overlays you need.

If it does not work

  • If the video shows no overlay, check that Video overlay is set to Enable for this source. Also check that the overlay you want is set to Enable in Configure Overlay.
