Choose the Graphics Card (GPU) Used by DeskCamera

Use this article to choose the graphics card (GPU) that DeskCamera uses to compress the video. If the PC has more than one graphics card, Windows chooses one. Choose it yourself when DeskCamera support asks you to, or when Camera details shows CPU for a screen.

  1. Close the DeskCamera window and click Yes to confirm.

  2. Open Windows Settings > System > Display > Graphics.

  3. Click Browse.

  4. In the DeskCamera installation folder, select DeskCamera.exe.

  5. Choose the graphics card that DeskCamera must use.

  6. Click Save.

  7. Open DeskCamera again.

To check, open Camera details: HW means that the graphics card compresses the video. See Camera Details: Check Your Streams.
