Frequently Asked Question

6. After Installation
Last Updated 14 days ago

After installation, DeskCamera can stream the PC screen, webcams, application windows, audio sources, static images, and other configured sources to an NVR/VMS as ONVIF/RTSP cameras.

DeskCamera starts with Windows by default. Most NVR/VMS systems can find it on the local network by ONVIF discovery. If discovery does not work, add it manually using the ONVIF/RTSP information shown by DeskCamera.

First checks after installation

1) Start DeskCamera and make sure the camera is running.
2) Open the camera settings and select the source you want to stream.
3) Set or confirm the ONVIF camera username and password. See Set the Login and Password for Adding DeskCamera to an NVR/VMS.
4) Add DeskCamera to the NVR/VMS. If it cannot be discovered, see DeskCamera could not be found in the network by NVR/VMS.
